: Sure, it was all smoke & mirrors, but damn if it wasn't awesome.

No other Halo demo has gripped me the same way. It still brings a warm feeling even though we never got to play it. In part, it probably never lost its magic because we never got to play it, allowing it to cement its place in its own corner of the Halo universe as an icon of sorts for all that could've been. And maybe that feeling is heightened by the current state of the Halo franchise; allowing one to briefly return to a better, more hopeful time-it's kind of sad that basically nothing makes me experience the same kind of excitement and anticipation anymore.

All nostalgia and rose-tinted glasses aside (I don't think it's reasonable for me to even try to attempt making an objective analysis of the video), I'd be interested to hear what someone seeing it for the first time would think about it.
