: As for Librarian, it seems likely that she is truly dead, but I wouldn't put
: it past her to have left an imprint on a certain new Lifeshaper.
To my understanding, the Flood nearly accomplishes total extinction of the Forerunners after the godly annihilation of the Greater Ark, I guess it can be called the Battle of the Greater Ark, with use of whatever the 'Star Roads' actually are.
In the wake of that nightmare you have Ur-Didact arriving at Requiem, who was oblivious to the Librarian's pursuit, which resulted in Ur-Didact's imprisonment within a Cryptum(Can't remember the final fate for the Ur-Didact's soldier that was already present on the planet, the female). Librarian then goes to Erde-Tyrene[Earth], names Chant her successor, sees her off and awaited the activation of the Halo Array while learning stomach-churning knowledge from the Flood(aka Precursors, well Precursor). Lastly there was Iso-Didact who had fled to the Lesser Ark after the misfortune at the Greater Ark to activate the Halo Array as literally a galaxy of the Flood was baring down on him.
Now that I pretty much covered the bare facts as the trilogy came to an end, the only Forerunners we are left with are Ur-Didact(who we faced and defeated so his fate is in stone), Chant[Even the Gods cannot deem her whereabouts], and Iso-Didact. His fate is shrouded in a veil of mystery also, but I'd guess he would've taken the responsibility of overseeing the Halo Array and the redistribution of life. Yes we know the latter was designed to be automated but I think he'd see to it that the odds of reseeding the galaxy failing shrunk to nearly zero out of love for his wife until life dissipated from his gray cheeks.
Forerunners are said to live long but I doubt 100,000 years long. That's just the fate I believe Iso-Didact would be left with, but factually we are left with 2 Forerunners whose destinies are yet unspoken for.
Anyone else have theories on what they personally think happened/happens with these two remaining 'gods'?
