: I've been using the PenTool in Photoshop for years now.
: Amazing how many people don't know how to use it.

: But when using a Tablet, I shouldn't have to use the pentool.

: Here's a pro using a tablet easily in Photoshop.

:

That's not what it looks like when I work, hah. All my lines are little chicken scratches that, when the planets align, will look cohesive when zoomed out.

Maybe that's what you should experiment with? Zooming far out to really capture smooth contours or zooming way in and making what seems like scraggly lines at that point, but will look better at 100% zoom? Kind of hard for me to say without sitting and playing with your tablet or watching a video of you working.

Honestly, I'm not a huge expensive-state-of-the-art-tech-kind-of-guy, but that tablet is almost two decades old - it might just be the best it can do. My tablet is about 6 years old now, and it has had a number of kinks. Sorry if that's not very helpful...

(It should be noted that I've only ever used one tablet and one Cintiq in all my life, so I'm not the best judge of the medium's tools.)
