PeteTheDuck, I need your HELP!!

Pete, you've proven yourself to be a mastermind when it comes to stuff like this. So I'm coming to you for help. I'm making this a thread instead of a YouTube/Email message in case it can help others. Or in case others have an idea as to how to make this work.

I've recreated the Bridge Room from the Halo level of Halo:CE. I don't want to activate the light bridge we all love. For I want to keep it accessible at all times. What I want to do instead is create a activated button in the same place as in the original but have the path form next to it and connecting the two sides. Allowing each side to activate a simple Man Cannon is all that's needed.

The problem I'm having is figuring out how to make each man cannon inaccessible til the switch is activated. Making them disappear after a set time would be ideal but not needed. I only need the man cannons in Team games. So a team based switch wouldn't be an issue. I've tried placing a block to prevent players from using the cannons but activating a Turrent did not set off the mines that had hoped would push the block off the side. I'm at a lost.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not done with the map yet. I still need to fix the lighting as well as other things. So you'll want to remove the FX from the map so you can see what you're building. They are located in the same area as the gap/kill zones pictured below.

VERY rough example of the area from my map I'm talking about.
