Yep, MP is still going until June (at least - apparently they're looking into hosting options).

Also, I fixed a different issue by installing the Games for Windows Live standalone thing. It did seem to stop things like this from occurring as well as fixing the initial problem, but it's hardly proven. Possibly worth a try though.
