My brain didn't interpret what you said correctly. I 'heard' "You can only move in the direction you're looking", which I don't think you meant. :)

I don't think I'd like camera-movement-locking, the way your third post describes, but they didn't really show how "aiming" really works; they just showed people walking around and looking around.

Aiming a weapon, in real real life, involves moving your arms and your head - and even that is kinda oversimplifying it. If the OculusRift tracks your head movement, moving your virtual-head to mimic your real head, you're still free to let your eyes look around the "screen" world, as you would normally look around without actually moving your head. But if your "head movement" is what "aims" the reticle, I wonder about accuracy and ease of use without something physically in your hands to mimic holding and aiming a weapon.

What if your "head movement" moved the gross viewpoint, and the right stick allowed you to control the finer "aiming" control, mimicking the finer control of aiming?
