They'd attempted to make forging easier at the low end, but had seemed to have completely forgotten about the higher-end forger. Who had been screaming nearly since the start of Halo: Reach "Just give me something really big and flat and wide!!! Fuck hills!"
Still, not being on-disc will hurt it a little - same reason Bungie never released more Forge spaces for Halo: Reach - to maintain maximum accessibility.
Although, this being the new 'pro' forging space, you're going to see a lot more grey with hints of green in your forge maps again - few to no forgers are going to want to load up one of the cramped disc forge maps and think 'can I fit my vision in here?' They're just going to go straight for the blank canvas and never look back. So much for pallet diversification.
I wonder if the background landmarks are going to be good enough, or if players are going to have to build all the landmarks themselves. That was one of Forgeworld's strengths for larger, more open maps: cliffs or sea. Pretty simple.
