Sigh. There's a difference between non-canon and retconning. A good retconning (those can exist), can be implemented well as long as it accounts for inconsistencies that pop up. Reach is a mostly adequate retcon in those regards. The biggest problem it brings around is the fact that the Autumn is in Aszod when in The Fall of Reach it jumped away right away. But there's a gap between the last chapter and the epilogue, when the Autumn jumps, that it could have gone back to Aszod. It's not perfect, no. But it still isn't an irreconcilable canon issue.

So it's both. A sizeable retcon, and not much of an issue once you give it some thought.
