Need help with fear/loathing

I'm currently making a map, but whenever I select my color map as the overhead map in fear, it crashes myth. The fear documentation doesn't say anything about what size the pictures should be; can someone help me? (The same thing happens when I select an image for the netgame preview, even though it meets the size and resolution specs)
