Selecting modified units in M2

I've been changing several of the standard Myth 2 units into chickens, but unfortunately when I double click on a chicken archer, it selects ALL chicken units (dwarves, warlocks, etc.) I think I need to change something in Fear, but I'm not sure what. Ideas?
