: How do i play as the dark on single player maps?
Go into Loathing, open the map you want to use, and double click on the tool icon that looks like a little guy with swords. You should see a list of every type of unit on the map. Now go through and select each unit type and hit "edit". If the team number is zero, change it to one; if the team number is one, change it to zero. Ignore anything that says "-1"; if you see anything that says "2" you'll have to choose whether you want to play the units that normally belong to team one or team two (this should only happen on "the Deceiver", but I haven't looked at all the maps--it may not happen there either for all I know). Save the mesh (don't worry--it isn't permanent, you can always yank the icon out of your "mesh" folder in your Local folder and throw it away), load the game, and have fun over-running the light forces with your thrall and ghols.
The problem? The light forces probably won't fight back until you're right on top of them, and even then they won't do anything interesting, just hack at you mindlessly. Kinda boring, huh?
The only solutions to this are 1) get really good at scripting and rewrite all the map actions, which could take months, or 2) get pretty good at scripting and change all the unit markers (so the light guys are replaced by dark units and the dark units are replaced by light ones), then go in and make sure all the links refer to the right monsters, which could take a good solid week of study and reflection, or 3) replace all the light units with dark units, leave the dark units alone, and have your thrall fight the computer's thrall, which could get very confusing and you'd still have to know a little about scripting because you'd have to go in and change all the obje identifiers for your new forces... which you'd have to have someone walk you through.
I'm sorry. I imagine you were looking for a secret key combination that would just make it happen, but Myth is just too heavily scripted for that. You could download the Myth Solo Campaign from the mill and try playing that (it supposedly does a lot of what I've described above), but it didn't work on my computer so I don't know enough to recommend it.
