Bridges and Underpasses?

Hello, I am fairly new to the world of map making but I suppose the great Nontoxic is the best site to get help from. I am currently looking into making a map with bridges and underpasses. If my height map is tall enough am I able to have this happen. I have heard some things that I didn't want to hear such as "no" but I figure I can ask a larger crowd through spamming forums! Please post back!
