I make friends with some big powerfull magician.
I point to my old, dead body lying and say "wake it up".
My old body gets up, and is exactly like the old me.
There are now two of me running around, although we are different people because I am a reincarnation, and thus not identical to my former life, who is now also alive.
People have alternately suggested that the spirit of Ravanna was awakened within Shiver's body, but I believe the former.

Sorry, again I'm having some trouble understanding you. The individual who came to be called The Voiceless One was named Ravanna. She died. Her reincarnation, who came to be called Shiver was born as Culwyeh (or used the assumed name Culwyeh, at least). Shiver's name is not Ravanna, at least not Shiver proper from TFL. The Shiver-soul-being in M2 seems to be both Shiver and Ravanna at once.
