A veteran Heron Guard or Journeyman *is* a champion, by the standards of ordinary warriors. He may not be as good as a Heron Guard Hero unit--that is, one of the very best Herons--but he's already backstroking amidst the cream of the human fighters in Myth. Which sounds utterly disgusting, but shouldn't. :-)
