: Who ever said Alric was Moagim Reborn?
GURPS suggested the possibility (rather, that Alric was Moagim Reborn Reborn), based on their mutual dislike of horses. It also says elsewhere that, according to many religions and learned folks of the Mythworld, not only are Levellers former Heroes, but Heroes are also former Levellers.
There's two main attractions to the theory. First, it provides another explanation for Shiver's taunting Rabican with an image of Moagim; she's saying "Ha ha, guess who your boss actually is?" Second, it means that all named Levellers and Heroes are incarnations of only two spirits--Balor/Connacht and Tireces/Moagim/Moagim Reborn/Alric--and thereby leads into the nice, orderly A/B eternal champions theory.
Also, latent memories of the Wind and Wolf Ages might explain why Alric seems to know more about those eras than the rest of the Nine; he recognizes Balor as Connacht, and finds out about the Head's deception, and pulls the Myrkridian standard stunt, and works out where the Ibis Crown is, and so forth.
Won't go on too long about it, since it's been discussed so many times before...look for "eternal champions" or "a/b" in the archives if you're interested, forget about it if you're not. :-)
