: And after he traveled back in time he landed right where
: Muirthemne was already built or to be built instead of
: the same area he was teleported back in time from.
: Wow, what a coincidence.
The hardest part is traveling back in time, and that's been established. We don't even know if the Myth Earth is a spherical planet which rotates. If it does and most things are the same as they are with our reality, the here we go: the head could have been teleported back and even flown through space before landing on the Earth again. After that, no matter where it landed, wild dogs could have dragged it from where ever it was to anywhere else. It could have been picked up and dropped any number of times.
Lol,
"What do you have there, Riftyr?" asked Alric.
Said Riftyr, "I have this head—"
Cu'Roi asked, "Where'd you get The Head?
Riftyr replied, "I found it."
Cu'Roi, "Found it? In The Barrier? The Head is from the Devoid!"
"What do you mean?" asked Riftyr.
Cu'Roi, "Well, this is the middle of the Barrier."
Riftyr said, "The swallow may fly south with the sun, or the house martin or the plover may seek warmer climes in winter, yet these are not strangers to our land?"
Cu'Roi asked, "Are you suggesting severed heads migrate?"
Frustrated, Riftyr, "Not at all. They could be carried."
Cu'Roi, "What? A swallow carrying a head?"
"It could grip it by the hair!" proclaimed Riftyr.
Cu'Roi, "It's not a question of where he grips it! It's a simple question of weight ratios! A five ounce bird could not carry an eight pound head."
"Well, it doesn't matter," said Riftyr. "Will you please look at The Head and talk to it?"
Cu'Roi, "Listen. In order to maintain air-speed velocity, a swallow needs to beat its wings forty-three times every second, right?"
"Please!" exclaimed Riftyr.
"Am I right?"
Riftyr, "I'm not interested!"
Alric then proposed, "It could be carried by an Eastern swallow!"
Cu'Roi, "Oh, yeah, an Eastern swallow maybe, but not a Western swallow. That's my point."
Alric, "Oh, yeah, I agree with that."
Riftyr, "Will you please talk to the talking head?!"
Cu'Roi, "But then of course a— Eastern swallows are non-migratory."
Alric, "Oh, yeah…"
Cu'Roi, "So, they couldn't bring a coconut back anyway…"
Riftyr stormed out of the tent.
Alric," Wait a minute! Supposing two swallows carried it together?"
Cu'Roi, "No, they'd have to have it on a line."
Alric, "Well, simple! They'd just use a strand of creeper!"
Cu'Roi, "What, held under the dorsal guiding feathers?"
Alric, "Well, why not?"
It could have been transported any number of ways; perhaps even through The Head simply asking to be taken a certain distance. That's really wide open and easy to solve.
