It appears that at some time, Shiver's name of Culwyeh was fairly well-known; so much so that it persists in the alternate title for Wights as "Messengers of Culwyeh." So it probably wasn't her *true* name; more like her informal one, just like "Myrdred" and "Alric" and all those.
