Here's a theory for you, magical talent is genetic. Thats why every common foot soldier can't learn to use special attacks like fireballs or lightning blasts. The Scholomace could just be a place where young people with the genetic talent are trained to harness and focus it. In the Myrks case this trait may also appear. Although I favor the theory that myrk giants are the females, this is just and interesting idea (unless the trait only occurs in females). OR maybe Soulblighter really DID want to control the myrk population and the summoner was not to raise any of the female myrks. How he knew that they were female or not is up to speculation. Perhaps a difference in skeletal structure or he knows as part of his special talent for raising the dead myrks. Since the giants who have this genetic trait could be either male only female only or mixed he could simply take some advice from C. Everett Coop and tell them to practice safe myrk sex. If I were soulblighter I'd recognize the sheer power of the myrkridia and I would want to protect myslef from them. If he had one do you think he'd be able to protect his new empire if a giant suddenly decided that it would get its littler counterparts to overthrow the Dark? Imagine, nothing but Thrall soulless wights ghols and Mauls to protect him against Myrks and giants. Who do you think would win?
