Female peasants definetly would have made sense. Or a female avatara. Making the only in game human woman a hideous killing machine might not appeal to feminists. Unless one or two of the unnamed Nine were women which could be true in keeping with the black company theme in which at least two of the Circle of Eighteen who I suppose are a bit like the nine are female, Whisper and Feather. The same is True of the Ten who were Taken whos Soulcatcher and the Lady are female.
