Mkay, let's see if I can explain my point. SoulBlighter did fight agains the Myrkridian hordes. At that time he saw what kind of power they held and noticed how they were able to keep the most powerful human empire in history in a state of terror and dissaray for 1000 years. He noticed that power and remembered it. Balor couldn't have gotten to the Myrkridia anyway, the summoner wasn't going to born for another 60 years.
But what I was really saying was that why would SoulBlighter throw away a resource like the Myrkidia? He knew that they had held a continent in terror before, so why not use them for the same use again? It would be stupid to waste them. He would definately not have to fight them. Moagim didn't, Moagim Reborn didn't, and, as you said, they're willing to help establish a dark reign.
