Mind you, I just feel like arguing. If I were the least bit sane, I'd realize my attempt at prolonging this conversation is pointless... :)
: ...As for
: individual races: well, Ghôls are bands of raiders and
: scavengers with virtually no family life--according to
: GURPS, child mortality is high and a mother on the
: move will sometimes just forget about her baby
That seems wasteful. Why not rip the babies' heads off, toss 'em in the bag, and throw them at dorfs?
: ...The Mauls,
: actually, might leave their womenfolk at home--they're
: apparently devoted parents--but it could just as
: easily be the women who are fighting and the men who
: stay at home. We don't know much about sexual
: dimorphism there.
I think you mean "sexual equity" or "sexual equality". Or "sexual hegemony". Sexual dimorphism only refers to form differences between the sexes. It's not a social thing. And as far as sexual dimorphism inside the Myth games go, there is none... unless certain colored ghols are female and others male. :)
The rest of your post is reasonable, but I guess we all realize that the discussion here is founded on (1) Bungie's inability to make home computers pedal faster and (2) GURPS interest in marketing their product to both female and male role-players. If we talk about this too much, It'll leave a bad taste in our mouths...
