Well not exactly. The Narrator was probably a surviver from the southern campains, as he states that he has served with valor over the cource of seventeen years. But yes TFL picks up at the very end of the War of The North.

I sometimes wonder about that. Most beleave that the comet was late, as was the eruption of Tharsis. However It could be that they do signal the climax of the cycle and not the begining. I dont remember what GURPS says exactly.
