: I dont think its THE confinement dream (I assume the one
: cast on the watcher to entomb him in the Cloudspine) I
: think the actual text said A confinement dream,
: uncapitalized. Just any one of a number of confinement
: spells, maybe not even the most powerful.
What do you call those little spheres and cubes that fall out of Avatara and Shades, respectively? They're called Dispersal Dreams, plural. Dream has two basic meanings with many similar and blended forms of these:
1. That of a non-physical type; the (i.e., "Dream duel," "Dream of Unlife), usually relating to actions.
2. The physical mineral things which are used (i.e., "Alric's Dispersal Dreams fell on the ground.")
It's most likely that it was a single Dream cast upon the Watcher. Would one say, "Alric used the Dispersal Dream to destroy the incoming force."? It tends to sound better, "Alric used the first of his four Disperal Dreams, carried in his poutch, to annihilate the group of Myrmidons."
