: I have a separate question: if Soulblighter realized the
: potential threat that the Tain shard posed (the Light
: could use it to gain access to the Summoner's lair),
: why didn't he simply retrieve it and carry it with
: him? He must have known of its power, otherwise he
: would not have stationed such a large force around it.
: It doesn't seem to make a lot of sense--he leaves an
: auxiliary force, albeit large, to guard an artifact
: that threatens the continued support of what are
: arguably the most important units of his campaign
: (krids), when all he would have to do to safeguard it
: would be to return to Forest Heart and take it with
: him. Even one of the Fetch or Maul could grab it--it's
: not like it needed to be handled in a particular way.
: It just seems a little ridiculous that a krid giant
: and a ton of Fetch should guard this little piece of
: wood (or whatever it's made from) that's just laying
: in the grass.
Maybe he couldn't move it. I know this is a bit far fetched but say that moving the shards would destroy the Tain and the chanses of making more myrks. Or perhaps its lays there because of gaming reasons. But I'd sure like to see a level where you are supposed to knock S.B down and steal something from him..
