: Again the vast wellspring of my mind has offered up a new
: theory for your reading pleasure! rejoice as I recite
: the theory of Shiver. Okay, it is widely accepted that
: Shiver is The Voiceless One, right? If this is so I
: beleive that in Myth I Shiver literally could not
: speak, could not utter noise. Shiver, before her
: appearance as one of the Fallen probably still had
: this affliction as we NEVER hear her say anything in
: or preceding TFL or hear of her saying anything. Now,
: how does she speak in Myth 2? Well, recall that
: Tramist's Mirror made her corporeal. Well I was
: wondering as to the nature of the mirror and this is
: what I came up with, The Mirror can be used to house a
: persons spirit. When a living being with a body looks
: into the mirror the spirit in the mirror will inhabit
: the body of the one who looked in. Now when Shiver's
: spirit went into the new body furnished by
: Soulblighter her disability, being dumb, was not
: present in the body. Notice how the Traitor's Grave
: loss screen and the in-game shots of Shiver in Myth II
: look very different, this is because she has a new
: body but with her same spirit. Now as to the theory
: that Shiver and Ravanna are two different minds in the
: same body, Ravanna was Soulblighter's host body made
: to look into the mirror which contained Shiver's
: spirit.
Ummmm.... except that Shiver _does_ talk in TFL. She whispered "Moagim" to Rabican in the nightmare dream. Also we don't hear of any other Fallen lord talking either (except SB, Balor and whoever ran around over the tunnel when the legion escaped Covenant, screaming), so should we assume that they couldn't speak either??? GASP!
Naw really, Forrest is right about Trasmists Mirror. That's not her in a new body, that's her actual soul made corporeal, or flesh in laymans terms. I suspect that you call a soul using some arcane method, then use it to "reflect" the soul into the actual world. The reason that she looks different in the two shots is because the one from TFL is her body with the soul _inside_ of it, at turns bestail and beautiful. What we see in Myth II is her actual _Soul_, all twisted and evil. That's why she looks like a weird hag.
