Shades *usually* have 3 dreams. Phelot has 6. (I guess you get treated well when you're a Fallen Lord's personal escort.) He uses 5 on the Krids, and has one left over to hit the Champions with if he wanted to.
And if Phelot would have lost, why aren't the Light units attacking him? He's the one of the most dangerous baddies around, after the Fallen Lords themselves. He's currently under Myrdred's control, but Myrdred's just (apparently) died. Phelot's just used up a bunch of his power blowing up the Krids. Wouldn't a prudent band of heroes take this opportunity to finish him off? Wouldn't you at least have the chance to attack him if you wanted an extra-1337 level ending?
Instead, Phelot refuses to attack your guys and your guys refuse to attack him. Seems to imply either that they have an understanding, or that he needs to stay alive for story-related reasons.
