: The easiest way to look at it is as a matter of geometry.
: The object's behavior is the same no matter what
: *you're* doing, but you see it from different
: "angles" depending on how you're moving
: relative to it. From one "angle" it's not
: moving at all in space, but it's moving quite fast in
: time; from another, it's moving near light-speed in
: space but it's almost stopped in time. Your motion
: determines which "directions" look like
: space and which look like time.

I've actually got a theory which explains WHY your "view" rotates in spacetime, as well as other cool things like explaining nuclear-electric forces in the same way as gravity yet they still repel likes instead of attract as in gravtic wells, and why your mass appears to increase as you accelerate.

Basically, it holds that the Fabric is elastic, but has a sort of inertia to it by which it tends not to stretch or compress unless really forced to. When a gravitic or electric charge-well moves in space, it tends to compress the space in the direction it's moving, which resists the compression and instead bends in a direction opposite the well, like a swell in front on a moving buoy in water (the opposite side develops a trough as space is dragged out behind the moving well, creating the opposite charges seen in fast-moving nuclear-electric particles - magnetism).

Since space is then curved in an uneaven manner around the object creating the well, the object has a tendancy to tilt, as it is effectively trudging "uphill" against its own swell. This produced both the temporal dialation, as your orientation in spacetime has changed, and explains the problems exceeding the speed of light (which is the speed at which effects propagate through the Fabric; so the swell in front of you is always moving faster than you, and you can never go over it, but the faster you try to go the bigger the swell gets as space is compressed more, and the more force is needed to move against it any further).

I can explain how all this related to the history and fate of the universe too, if you'd like. (I've got a radical new idea on the universal expansion/accleration/collapse).
