: I just realized I made one mistake, but I don't think it
: really impacts the main point: I said Connacht killed
: Moagim, but I followed a link in another topic (I
: forget which one, and i'm too lazy to see) and found a
: bit that said he didn't. Moagim apparently died some
: other way, and Connaght finished off his forces (the
: myrkridia) by capturing them in the tain.
Ok, you're both making a couple mistakes in your theories that are throwing your patterns off. How it really went:
Age of Reason (Light)
Tireces kills unknown Leveller, then dissappears.
Wind Age (Dark)
Tireces returns as Moagim, The Leveller. An unknown hero opposes him, but is killed. Moagim, however, is captured and killed soon thereafter - but the Dark still survives after his death.
Wolf Age (Light)
Connacht saves the world from the ravaging Myrkridia and the evil Trow, and just then "Moagim reborn" shows up and tries to destroy the world again - but Connacht kicks his ass and goes on to become Emperor. Then, like Tireces, he disappears.
Sword Age (Dark?)
Connacht returns as Balor, and begins to destroy the world. However, the Light holds on for fifty years, and then the Great Hero of this era, Alric, somehow manages to defeat him, and the cycle may now be broken. But Soulblighter returns sixty years later and makes it Dark again - until Alric kicks his ass too. But now the Myrkridia are back and the secrets of necromancy are well-known, so it may yet turn into a Dark age after all.
