Heh. More on The Watcher

Those toilets must really need scrubbing. The same little curvy purple sprites used during the healing ritual are there when The Watcher explodes, but they're following a pretty random piece of stone that falls from the statue, post-ejection. I'm guessing you had a zerk standing near where that stone piece fell, making it look as though something was happening to *him*. Just a coincidence, I think.
