I wonder... So, are Skrael the true natives of the Western half of the Mythworld? Perhaps we should be coming up with a better name for The Far Away. How does "Venya Do'shae" sound? It means "The Garden That is Lost" in Zida'ya.
Anyway, the Cath Bruig may of came from the east, Provincial may of came from Faraway, which is now officially called Venya Do'shae because it sounds better. Berserks may of came from the same place as the Provincial settlers
