...But my post last night on this subject -- designed to put this mystery to rest -- didn't make it. Weird.
Anyway, I went back and played The Watcher, reviewed the film in slo-mo as DAMB did, and was shocked to see... what looked strangely like a hoof flying skyward during The Watcher's disintigration and explosion.
Then, I noticed hey, there are two boots and only one "hoof". Isn't that odd?
So I went back and looked at the statue of The Watcher again to figure out where the hoof may have come from, and lo-and-behold, what looks like a hoof is *actually* The Watcher's left shoulder, arm and glove. If you compare the before-and-after, you'll see that's right.
Nods to DAMB for noticing this is the first place, though. Was fun checking it out.
