The Myth III Trow did use weapons; conceivably Myrk Giants could steal or scavenge these. Alternatively, they could use their magic; if they can manifest explosive skulls, they can probably manifest a club or two.
I don't particularly think Myrk Giants were ever armed, but I think it's more likely than that small Krids were.
