If he disappeared how do you know if he died or not? maybe he did something incredibly dumb like being mauled to death by a bear in his wanderings or fell off a cliff. Or god forbid he died of old age whereupon the leveller immediately snatched him up. I don't think Connacht knew how to make himself immortal unless he went the way of Damas and practiced the whole self mutilation and human sacrifice thing.
