That does make a kind of sense. I'd think that thrall wound use weapons that they would have available to the when they were alive as soldiers and farmers, maybe farming tools like scythes, pitchforks or even shovels for farmers and the dead warriors would still retain their swords. And perhaps Ghols could have been taught the art of smithing from Balor and passed it on to all the ghol society even though they coud not develop this on their own.
