I don't think Myrks use weapons because of their body structure. Take a look at their hands. They don't look too suited to weilding a weapon with very much finesse, theres a good shot of myrk hands in the Myth II manual. Their hands look too different from human hands to use our weapons, Moagim or whoever would have had to fashion enough speically made weapons for an army of thousands, and where would he get the smiths to do it for him? Imagine if the alien (it would have to be singular as there was only 1 moagim) were much larger and smaller than humans, maybe 15 feet tall. None of the weapons he had would be usable by us and very few people would be willing to sell weaponry to someone whos been razing their homeland as the Myrkridia must have been doing.
