Yeah, just imagine how incredibly unbalanced the game would be if the myrkridia would have used weapons or armor. It wold have made them waaaaay to good. I think thats the same reason the Trow swore off iron, just for the sake of in game convenience but at least Bungie made up a clever little backstory for the Trow but what about the myrkridia? If I were Moagim i would have tried to arm my army or maybe their claws are just better weapons and they can attack faster with them.
