I like the Thrall theory; that's pretty much what I always believed. As for the teleportation, there are at least two other instances of un-Knot-assisted teleportation in TFL alone (more in Myth II): Alric teleports himself and the Champions out of the Barrier and back into the West (half a continent), and even more impressive, Alric teleports the entire remnants of the Legion across the ENTIRE CONTINENT from Rhi'anon to the Great Devoid! NEITHER time with a Knot! We had a big chat on how this was possible, and never came to a consensus.
