Well they look humanoid but a little more....primitive. Maybe they were humans before they evolved? Maybe when the world was young and they were evolving into humans a large group found b'Yaggo or whatever and he gave them eternal youth so they stay unevolved. I know this is kinda out of nowhere but hey...it could happen
