Bah, Cedric! How do you know Balor's head exploded? What we have is this: dwarf tosses head in to Great Devoid, big rumbling, then huge explosion seeming to emanate from the Great Devoid. Myabe it wasn't his head that caused that explosion, per se. If great spiritual forces were at work in creating an alternation of light and dark ages over many millennia, then were that cycle to be disrupted, wouldn't you expect some kind of massive, violent reaction?
