Well, you could seperate the battle into different sections, like lets say The 3rd Legion of Madrigal, West Flank, Knights of Covenant, Middle, many levels which all happen at the same time but at different sections. Still I agree this wouldn't do justice to the battle, a battle of such epic proportions is best left to our imaginations.
