: Another possibility: This is a Dark age. The cycle is
: still perfectly intact. About 75% of the civilised
: peoples lie dead following the two wars, all major
: cities have either been razed to the ground or are
: Muirthemne, which is currently in the middle of a
: desert. The Lurker still lurks somewhere, and noone
: knows where or whether the Faceless Man is. The Ghols
: still own Stoneheim, and are rapidly learning how to
: use the highly explosive Dwarven technologies. The
: secret of how to create undead is out. Bands of Mauls
: are scattered across the lands following
: Soulblighter's defeat. The one year's servitude
: promised by the Trow has elapsed. Myrkrydia are
: rampaging everywhere. Humanity's Fir'bolg and Forest
: Giant allies refuse to leave their wooded homeland.
: All that is necessary now is for someone to kill
: Alric- perhaps he'll be assassinated by some
: dissatisfied Province noble. Noone said the Leveller
: has to survive for it to be a Dark age.
: Sorry, but previous theories seemes a little TOO
: optimistic.
Perhaps you're right. Maybe this dark age is actually a bunch of small "evil" events one after another that makes everyone feel unsafe. Perhaps one of the missing Fallen Lords will try their hand at destroying the Light sometime... But you gotta admit this has been the best Dark Age since! think about it: people are *generaly* safe from attacks and according to GURPS theres something like a village every two miles in the Province. The mykridia aren't organized in any way and travel in small packs attacking light and dark creatures alike and Im sure that the dwarves have an invasion planned for Stoneheim.
