Why not? If they have the power to use it, they probably have the power to misuse it. And Ravanna needn't do anything to the mirror--she just has to create a few special effects under her own power and appear, calling herself Shiver and bitching about how ugly she is. Soulblighter will figure the mirror worked and "turn it off" or whatever it is you do with it.

It's certainly an attractive theory. But until I know why Shiver wouldn't want the Deceiver to know her duality, and why no one before him could ever figure it out, I ain't buying it. :-)
