As we have heard before, Fallen Lords have long grudges with each other that go so far back that people don't even know what they're about. Perhaps Ravanna and Soulblighter had such a grudge with each other like The Deciever and The Watcher had. Ravanna probably was using Soulblighter more then allying with him. Think about it: Why fight the Light AND SOulblighter when you could use Soulblighter to kill the light and then turn on him and Kill soulblighter and be master of the... well, dead lands I guess. Nice theory Silicon and you didn't include any sexual affairs between Shiver and Soulblighter :) But seriously, that theory makes sense.
