: Moagim. Remember that the name "Moagim" was
: one of the secrets that got torn out of Shiver as she
: blew up when Rabican wasted her.
: My theory is this, Shiver was called Ravanna back in time
: immemorial, it was her human name. She was perhaps an
: apprentice of the dark arts or some such thing. When
: Moagim came to the lands of man she threw in her lot
: with him to get revenge on someone or some group of
: people, hence the "path to retribution."
: They became lovers (remember that she wasn't a hag
: back then) and Moagim presumably taught her what she
: knows today. The Deciever somehow got ahold of this
: information or even may have been living back then
: (although that's a stretch) and used it to taunt
: Shiver. Shiver responds with a poorly thought out
: attack and gets herself killed.
Quite the opposite, actually... Shiver taunted Rabican with an image of Moagim and some vague, nonverbal concept (this is a Nightmare Dream, remember) that current events were somehow related to him. (the Great Cycle).
