GURPS pretty much says that 1 in 100 are born and destined to be a Giant. Yes they are born small, but grow much bigger then normal myrks. Kind of like an Alpha Male dog. With every group of pups, there is always one that is the biggest, smartest, and most aggresive. THese dogs always lead the pack as do the mryk Giants always lead their pack. All those normal myrks are probably full grown and will never reach a giant state
