DO you mean that we can "touch, and smell, and kill things" past the edges of the Known World or "touch, and smell, and kill things" that are FROM the edges, but found their way into the Myth world. Is this why the flavor text says that stuff about fetch getting smited if Wyrd ever caught a glimpse of their true form?
