I find the trick to using Dwarves when facing fast units like Myrkridia is to deploy them alongside your melee units (who have been put on guard mode!) and then pull back after the first cocktail. Then order your melee troops to advance. True, this means that the Dwarves cause much less damage than they could potentially do so, but it minimises risk to the Dwarves (and to your melee units from stray cocktails).
