So if Balor CURSED the Myrmidons then why do they fight for him? It is obvious that their appearance and their vanity is the most important thing to them and that they wouldn't give it up even to become immortal. They probably didn't realize what they were getting into, but you would think they would seek to destroy Balor for the curse they got and THEN worry about getting revenge on the "normal looking" people. They were obviously bound to work for Balor in exchange for this rather backwords gift and its interesting to note that they were never in Myth 2. Perhaps they simply split up and roamed about the country rather than fight for one of Balor's friends.
