Or Maybe Your Kill it when you put that last crystal in... A reason Soulblighter would leave all of the crystals around it so it only needs one is so a big thing like that doesn't turn on him (They were draining its power). Also it didn put up a struggle because the crystals around him were draining too much energy, he had exactly enough energy to hold deceiver. One mor crystal by him and he dies.
