In Response To: Re: Myth Movie.. (Vincent)

either using david attinborough (spelling, i know...) or the myth narrator (i think davey might do it best... i have his style in my head right now :) with a helmet, armour and a sword drawn but not ever used, due to careful direction that leads the battle away from our beloved narrator, we follow him shouting in the middle of battle about the latest movements of the dark, and the light's counters and trials. at appropriate points we see pictures of carnage after a battle, or enemies on the opposite side of a field jeering and cheering before it...

da: (in the heat of a battle) oh my god! oh my god! the dark has killed our commander! *gasp* the deciever's magicians are casting spells to cause panic and disorder amongst our troops, and... *crash! bang! thud* (some thrall and ghols have broken through the lines and are dispatched) *boom!* (a wight in the distance) (screams and shouts break out clearer amid the general furor of battle)... there have been men running in terror shouting that the deciever is here. *boom! (again)* indeed, the cavalry detached to scout returned screaming and frothing at their mouths, the horses panicky and nearly bolting. they ran amok in... our eastern flank, and we were hard pressed to put them down. they killed nearly fifty men, compared... (blood sprays in a fountain as something explodes nearby, drenching da)... ugh... to the fifteen horsemen that returned mad.

random mud and blood spattered soldier: (running along behind the immediate line of battle) retreat! retreat! for your lives, for your souls, retreat!

da: it sounds like maeldun has indeed succeeded in his plan to draw out the deciever, but the cost is too great. (da starts running after being jostled by soldiers running back)

...

i'm too tired to continue, but it'd be interesting to explore this idea... :)

it could perhaps be done interestingly, and it might well be able to retain in documentary style the journal style of myth, being somewhat detached and at the same time right in the thick of it, so to speak.
